Ladybird Likes is the brainchild of me, Zoe Jade, a glasses-wearing, horror film loving, self-confessed crafty geek. And, judging from the photos above, apparently I'm also partial to taking selfies! Born from my insatiable need to make, craft, and create things, what started off as me just wanting an excuse to make pretty things has now grown into a full-time job running my very own business! Whilst I started out specialising in wooden laser cut jewellery, I have since expanded the brand to include stationery and gift items too. All my work is inspired by my love of all things retro, kitsch, pastel coloured, polka dot, or with nice/amusing quotes on. I run Ladybird Likes from my home studio just outside West London, where I drink way too much iced coffee, listen to 90s music, and hang out with my dog Jasper all day. Oh, and sometimes I do work too!

Started in February 2012, Ladybird Likes began life purely as a way to feed my addiction to craft and stationery supplies. I loved making things, anything, but I needed an excuse to do so. All my family and friends were kind of sick of receiving handmade gifts from me, so I had to find a new audience and a new outlet for my creativity! A few friends suggested I try setting up an Etsy shop, which I did. I've never looked back since. In December 2012 I was able to leave my job in retail and focus on Ladybird Likes full-time.

Although I began my business on Etsy, I now have my own dedicated online shop, and also sell through Folksy and  My work is also stocked in over 30 boutiques, independent stores, and art galleries around the UK and the world, including SMUG, Hayward Gallery, Ohh Deer, and Superjuju. Craft fairs and markets are also a big part of my business, particularly around Christmas, and I have participated in BUST Craftacular, Renegade Craft Fair (both in London, and in Austin), and Crafty Fox, as well as regularly selling at Brick Lane and Spitalfields markets.

Since beginning Ladybird Likes I have expanded the business to not only be a storefront, but also to be a means of teaching and helping others. I teach craft and DIY workshops at venues around the UK, and have been a guest speaker at numerous events including Spring Fair International in Birmingham, and Crafty Fox Talks in London. I also offer a one to one business mentoring service, coaching other small business owners and helping them to grow and develop their businesses using the knowledge I have gained since starting Ladybird Likes.

and finally a few little facts about me, because apparently I don't share enough about myself online!
